Immersed in the nature, history and ancient traditions of this land, Villa Ducale is the ideal base for visiting Taormina, a town which attracted poets, artists and cinema stars and which today still represents one of the most valuable pearls in Sicily. The strategic position held by the Hotel Villa Ducale allows it to combine the convenience of being close to the town center, with the tranquility of finding yourself away from the bustle of the town. The town center of Taormina can be reached in about 10/15 minutes on foot, or using the hotel`s free bus service or one of the town council`s buses which stop right in front of the Hotel.
Taormina, with its spectacular Greek Theatre and its Arab-Norman buildings, is not the only site not to be missed. Not far from the Hotel, you will find Castelmola, an ancient Medieval village, Isolabella, an uncontaminated oasis and Etna, a paradise for naturalists and lovers of good food: the former will dedicate their time to climbing the volcano, while the latter will have the chance to taste some of the typical food and wine products from the area.

HOW TO REACH US
By plane
From "Fontana Rossa" airport in Catania there are several ways to reach the Hotel Villa Ducale:
- By intercity bus you reach Taormina in under an hour (price of the ticket - 10 Euros)
- By private taxi you can reach the Hotel Villa Ducale directly. Taormina is about 50km from the airport in Catania (booking through the hotel costs approx. 80 Euros).
- By hiring a car, take the A18 motorway heading towards Messina and come off at Taormina. From there, follow the directions for the town center (approx. 2 km). Once you reach the town center, head straight in the direction of Castelmola until you see the sign for the Hotel Villa Ducale.
By train
Trains coming from Rome and the North of Italy directed towards Siracusa and Agrigento, stop at the Train Station, "Taormina-Giardini Naxos" which is approx. 5 km from the center of Taormina. To reach the Hotel Villa Ducale from the station, you can take the bus or a private taxi (cost, approx. 20 Euros).
By bus
The "Interbus" bus company links Rome and the main cities in Sicily with Taormina.
By car
From Messina or Catania, take the A18 motorway and come off at Taormina. Follow the signs for the town center (approx. 2 km) and, once there, head in the direction of Castelmola until you see the sign for the Hotel Villa Ducale.
